This collection of editioned prints includes the  11 illustrations, as well as the cover of The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. Each print has been silk-screened onto a beautifully textured felt paper and includes the edition and series number. 

The Prophet provides timeless spiritual wisdom on a range of subjects, including giving, eating and drinking, clothes, buying and selling, crime and punishment, laws, teaching, time, pleasure, religion, death, beauty and friendship. The book is made up of 26 prose poems, delivered as sermons by a wise man called Almustafa. He is about to set sail for his homeland after 12 years in exile on a fictional island when the people of the island ask him to share his wisdom on the big questions of life. 

"To make the final choice of illustrations for 'The Prophet' we fastened a string along the wall, so as to stand the pictures in a row grouped according to colors (...) using about fifteen of them. All of them, Kahlil liked 'Pain' the best - the woman form with hands outstretched as if crucified against the breast of two men. He conceded that the Archer would be the most popular picture (...), thought the composition of Death most successful, and criticized his winged hand as being too large, too definite, too limited."
